Film & TV

April 08, 2013

This episode saw our team travel to Warburton, and expand upon the ideas presented in episodes 1 and 2.  We decided to extend the scope to allow for other segments to enter in the mix, such as interviewing Carl who works at the local community garden, where community members have access to a wide variety of fresh vegetables and greens. Nara was joined by a new team of local cooking talent, with the mother-daughter combination of Yaritji Miller and Christine Laidlaw working with nutritionist Hannah Stanley to make a delicious Lentil Dahl. On the other side of the camera was Jasmine Lawson, a great camera operator and radio broadcaster for NG Media.

The filming was successful, and the four women in front of the camera brought a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to the show that was backed up by the healthy eating knowledge and tips that Hannah presented.

The cast and crew enjoyed the finished Lentil Dahl, as did all the women at the Women’s centre who were watching proceedings!
